Maurielle Lue was born on October 1, 1981, in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in the city, she always had a love for journalism and knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the field. After graduating from high school, she attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

After college, Maurielle began her career as a news anchor and reporter at WFXR-TV in Roanoke, Virginia. She then moved to WBFF-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. In 2010, she joined the Fox 2 News team in Detroit as a general assignment reporter. Maurielle has been with the station ever since and currently serves as one of its weekend evening news anchors.

Outside of her work in television news, Maurielle is also an active member of the community. She is involved with various charitable organizations and is a board member of the Southeastern Michigan chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Lue is currently married to her husband Darryl, with whom she has two children.
