How to Turn Off News Notifications

If you’re like me, you probably get way too many news notifications throughout the day. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to turn them off on your iPhone.

Checkout this video:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Tap Notifications.

Select News.

Turn Allow Notifications off.

Scroll down and select the News app.

From your home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up your Control Center. Select the crescent moon icon to put your device into Do Not Disturb mode. This will silence all notifications, including News notifications.

If you want to be more selective about which notifications you receive, you can go to Settings -> Notifications and scroll down to the News app. From here, you can choose to turn off Allow Notifications entirely, or tap on Options in the upper right corner to select which types of news stories you would like to be notified about.

Toggle the “Allow Notifications” switch to the off position.

To disable news notifications on your iPhone, begin by opening the Settings app and tapping “Notifications.” Scroll down to the “News” section and toggle the “Allow Notifications” switch to the off position. If you want to continue receiving news notifications but want them to be less intrusive, you can tap the “Show in Notification Center” switch to the off position. This will cause news notifications to appear in the Notification Center without displaying a banner or playing a sound.
