If you have a story that you believe needs to be told, then you may want to contact CNN news. But finding the right contact can be difficult. You want to make sure that your story gets to the right person and that it is told in the right way. Here are some tips on how to contact CNN news for your story.

If you would like to submit a story idea, please go to the iReport website. iReport is CNN’s citizen journalism platform and stories submitted may be used on all CNN platforms.

Find the contact page
The first step in contacting CNN is finding the contact page. The best way to do this is to go to the network’s website and type “contact” into the search bar. This should bring you to a page with various ways to get in touch with the network, including by phone, email, and social media.
If you’re not able to find the contact page right away, you can also try searching for specific members of CNN’s staff. For example, if you’re trying to get in touch with a particular reporter, you can search for their name on the website.
Send your story
If you have a story that you think is newsworthy and would like to share it with CNN, there are a few ways to do so. You can email [email protected], fill out a form on their website, or contact them through social media.
Fill out the story submission form
If you believe you have a story that would be of interest to CNN, the first step is to fill out the online story submission form. This form is available on the network’s website and it allows you to provide some basic information about your story idea, as well as contact information. Once you have submitted the form, someone from CNN will review your idea and get back to you if they are interested in learning more.
Include all relevant information
When you’re ready to share your story with CNN, there are a few things you need to include in your submission. This will help our team determine if your story is a good fit for our programming, and how best to get in touch with you.
-Your name and contact information: We’ll need your full name, email address and phone number so we can reach you. If you prefer, you can also provide the contact information for a friend or family member we can get in touch with on your behalf.
-A brief description of your story: In a few sentences, let us know what happened and why you think it would make a good segment for CNN. Be sure to include any relevant details, such as the names and ages of people involved, where the story took place and when it happened.
-Your personal connection to the story: How are you involved in the story? Are you the subject of the story, or do you know someone who is? Tell us a little bit about yourself and your connection to the events that took place.
-Any additional information: If there’s anything else you think we should know about your story or situation, please include it here. This could include links to news articles or other websites related to your story, or copies of any relevant documents.
Follow up
If you have a story that you believe is newsworthy and you would like to contact CNN, there are a few different ways that you can do so. You can submit your story idea through their online form, email them, or call their news tips hotline.
Check your email for a response
If you have not received a response from CNN within 2-3 weeks, you may follow up with an email or phone call. Please be patient when reaching out, as they are often inundated with requests. When you do receive a response, it will likely be from a Producer or Assignment Editor, who will want to know more about your story before deciding if it is something that CNN would cover.
Follow up with a phone call
Once you have submitted your news story idea using the online form, follow up with a phone call to the CNN News Desk. The CNN News Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached at 404-827-1500.
When you call, tell the operator that you have submitted a news story idea online and would like to speak to someone about it. You may be asked to leave a brief message with your contact information and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
