Early Life and Education

Don Shipman was born on December 11, 1982, in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in communication in 2006. After college, he worked as a production assistant for KOMO-TV in Seattle. He then moved to KIRO-TV in Seattle, where he worked as a general assignment reporter and weekend sports anchor.

In 2010, Shipman moved to Spokane, Washington, where he worked as a reporter and weekend sports anchor for KHQ-TV. He then moved to Missoula, Montana, in 2012, where he worked as a reporter and weekend sports anchor for KPAX-TV. In 2014, he moved to Billings, Montana, where he worked as a reporter and weekend sports anchor for KTVQ-TV.

Shipman joined 22 News in December 2014 as a reporter. He is also the weekend sports anchor.

Career

Don Shipman is a familiar face in the news industry. He comes to 22 News from WHDH in Boston, where he was a reporter and fill-in anchor. Prior to that, he was a reporter and weekend anchor at WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut.

Shipman is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication. He also has a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Don Shipman is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He began his career in broadcast journalism as a general assignment reporter at WPRI-TV in Providence, RI. He then went on to become a reporter and weekend evening anchor at WTNH-TV in New Haven, CT.
